So today I've been thinking about some beauty products that I'm really thinking about buying. I've watched hundreds of reviews and have been researching and really having a think about all these individual products. I would really love to know if anyone else has had an experience with these products and let me know if these items are good value since they are high street which is quite expensive. So here I have the 10 items I have on my wish list! (:
1. Benefit Hoola Bronzer
This first product is from Benefit and it currently $29(American). Like most of these items I have not actually tried it out myself, but I've heard good reviews from beautybloggers such as Zoella and Lauren Curtis. Bronzers are one of my must haves when applying make-up especially for me who has fairly light skin. I'd also like to say that the packaging of this item is really adorable. One of the main things I look for in any powdered make up is that it is really pigmented, I find that as I don't use as much product that it lasts longer, and when everything is so expensive it is important that the product lasts for at least a few months. I've heard the pigment is perfect in this product which is something I am willing to pay for in a product. $29 is converted to $38 in Australian including shipping which is fairly expensive for an 18 year old like me. But I do believe this would be a good price for the quality of this Hoola Bronzer! (:
2. Champagne Pop Shimmer skin perfecter
This product was actually made in a collaboration with Jaclyn Hill and Becca. It is a 'shimmering skin perfecter' and i'm looking to get it in the colour 'Champagne Pop'. Now one of my favourite make-up products are ones where they add a nice shine or shimmer to your face where it can really make you look better and make your skin look healthy. I've heard about this product from the youtuber KalelKitten. On the video she showed how pigmented the product in which i loveeeee! Now this product is expensive being $64 on Sephora, but I really don't mind saving my pennies for a good shimmer powder.
3. Mac Skin mineraliser
I like the idea of this product because i think it's fairly versatile. Mac mineraliser claims to be low pigmented which in this case I think it is alright as it is only a finish/setting powder. It can also be used to help contour by highlighting areas on top of concealer. I haven't heard much else about this product and I'm kind of unsure about the brand us I believe they test on animals (not sure) which is kind of a turn off from me. As I don't have that much knowledge abut this product I would absolutely love if anyone could help and give me some what of a background on this particular product! I also know it's really expensive so it would be great to have some feedback.
4. Too faced Natural eyes
I'm starting to really get into eyeshadow! Two of the eyeshadow palettes I'm looking at is Too faced Natural eyes and Sweet peach buy Too faced. Now one of my favourite everyday looks is natural, So I'd feel like I'd really like this particular palette. I've also watched a few tutorials with this product and have loved the outcomes on all of the videos! The price is roughly $48 so i'm tossing up between this palette and the Sweet peach one.
5. Too faced Sweet Peaches
I've heard this palette actually smells like peaches! Which sounds totally amazing to me. Not only that but it seems to have an arrange of colour from light to dark. These light/dark colours are really applying to me as I like that sort of eyeshadow, makeup look. This palette has a lot more colours than the natural eyes palette which is a bonus for this product. Apparently too faced sent Sweet Peaches to Zoella! Too faced if your reading this plz send me one xoxo
6. Too faces Better than sex mascara
Okay, so this product would be the most exciting and most useful for myself. It is the Too faced (yet again) 'Better than sex' mascara! Now I use mascara almost everyday and I've heard this is the formula is really black which is extremely exciting as i love black mascara. One thing about this mascara is that I hope it does not smudge or run don't my eyes easily, its one of my pet peeves. This mascara is fairly cheap at $28 (not really) which it will actually converted to Australian which is of course a few more dollars plus shipping. But something I've been wanting forever is a really good, black formulated mascara. So if anyone has had experience with this type of mascara or anything similar pleaseeee let me know! (:
7. Sigma Kabuki brush in F80
Now, i'm going to moving on to more of the brushes side of make-up! I'm really keen on getting a kabuki brush that is really focused buffing in foundation. So I've chosen the Sigma Kabuki brush F80. So on the Sigma website, It claims it is the best seller and the brush can come in two different colours, a silver and a really nice light gold. I've seen many youtubers and beauty bloggers who use the brush so that makes me feel alot better knowing that real people and professionals you and enjoy this brush. This brush is $24 which is around $32 dollars in Australia and I think that is a good price for something that is high quality. Sigma also offer two years guarantee which I also think is a good bonus. I would absolutely love this brush in my collection!
8. Real Techniques Powder brush
This next brush is a real techniques powder brush that I think looks incredible. The prices of these make-up brushes are extremely cheap compared to some other brands and I know people like Lauren Curtis like these brushes. The brush I'm looking at is only $10. On the website they also claim the brush to be award winning! IF anyone has had any experience with these brushes please let me know because they seem to be amazing something has to be wrong! (or not). I've also watched a few youtube videos from the creators of the brush and seem very nice and passionate abut make-up!
9. Make-up dryer (real techniques?)
Now this next one is a make-up dryer. IT hangs the brushes upside down which is the best way to dry them! I think this could be really handy way for dying them as it help the brushed majorly. Hanging them with the bristles facing up or side ways can mess with the glue holding the bristles together which can lead to them falling out. I have absolutely no idea where I have seen these of who makes them! If anyone knows please help a sister out. Googling them was such a hard task of actually finding them as I just had to search up 'round upside down makeup brush dryer' and scrolled forever until I found it. I have also seen Zoella using this in the back of one of her vlogs! So it must be somewhat good.
10. Mac Lipstick in Pressed and ready
A Mac lipstick is something that i've really been wanting for a while now. Now i like crazy bold colours of lipstick but I don't feel like it suits me so much so i like to stick to neutral/nude/pinkish colours. The shade i'm going for is called called Pressed and ready. It is $36 American dollars which is expensive, but if the colour is fairly pigmented and lasts a while I think it will be worth ot! (:
So that's it guys! This blogpost took me forever! But I really loved it and really researching and writing about make-up products that I may buy! I would really love if anyone who has experience with any of these products or any high end make-up, I would love any advice or experience that could be handy as I haven't really brought anything this expensive or high end :) Thank you so much for reading this blog post and feel free to comment and leave me any messages or if you want to follow my blog.
